After graduating from middle school, Mao's geographical location forced her to attend a different school, separating her from all her pals. While searching for her new classroom, Mao came across a boy being subjected to bullying. She intervened and managed to disperse the bullies, but it turned out that the boy, Riku, was not actually being tormented.
