Tao and Alma, troubleshooters with a reputation for getting the job done in Gokuraku - a diverse neighborhood of humans, beastmen and mermaids - are always up for a challenge. Though they're driven by food, money, and Tao's whims, they can't resist the pitiful pleas of soft-spoken mermaid Nene, who needs their help in a desperate situation.
Nene's sisters are trapped, selling themselves to pay for the costly treatments that keep them in human form. Tao and Alma, not known for their righteousness, take on the task of rescuing them. The duo prefers to play by their own rules and let their impulses guide them, operating beyond the boundaries of conventional morality.
