Himari Ashihara's educational history consists solely of all-girls institutions. As a result, she has a severe lack of exposure to males, rendering her incapable of comprehending or interacting with them properly. In an effort to assist her, her friends Shuuko Tokiwa and Yae Kashino prompt her to confess to someone.
Summoning her bravery, Himari requests a date from Satoru Kai, a boy she comes across whilst en route to school near a river. Remarkably, Satoru agrees. Confused and thrown off by this, Himari makes a pact with her friends: she will pursue their relationship if he appears at the riverbank, and if he doesn't, she can apologize and clarify her confusion. As she anxiously waits for him at the meeting spot, Himari is taken aback when Satoru appears, signifying the commencement of her inaugural romantic involvement.
