On the day before her high school entrance ceremony, Hiyori Nishiyama, a 15-year-old girl, was involved in a terrible accident that resulted in severe bone fractures. Despite recovering from the ordeal, the timid Hiyori was plagued with doubts and fears and was hesitant to attend class.
After a year of missed opportunities, Hiyori finally mustered the courage to go to school. But as she struggled to introduce herself, a boisterous boy named Yuushin Hirose rudely cut her off and compared her to a baby bird. Despite this setback, Yuushin's gregarious personality gradually helped Hiyori feel more comfortable around her classmates.
With Yuushin by her side, Hiyori hoped to achieve her dream of making friends and finding her place in high school.
