Shun Hashimoto and Mio Chibana, who are now in a relationship, leave for Tokyo from the serene seaside town where they met. In the bustling metropolis, people from all walks of life continue their daily routines. However, conforming to societal norms is imperative because openly expressing their love for each other as a homosexual couple is still frowned upon.
Their destination is Shun's childhood home, which he left after coming out to his family. Everything about the place is reminiscent of the past, including the dog and the roof, but his younger brother's enthusiastic welcome takes them by surprise. Although Shun's mother is thrilled to have them stay, his father is emotionally distant.
As they get reacquainted with their family friends and adjust to the new situation, Shun and Mio face a daunting challenge: confronting their past.
