The company-owned apartments are filled with tenants who are unable to afford alternative housing options. Hatsumi Narita, a high-school student, lives in one of these apartments which is overseen by a gossipy and self-righteous Mrs. Tachibana. Crossing Mrs. Tachibana can lead to a terrible living situation.
