On the outskirts of Neo-Hong Kong lies an enigmatic Chinese garden, said to hold a deadly fairy. It is said that anyone who lays their eyes on this mythical creature will perish before the night is through.
Five years ago, Douglas Pyke was given the task of unraveling the secrets of this fairy. Unfortunately, a tragic incident while on duty resulted in the loss of a woman's life, causing him to permanently resign from the police force. Now, working as a part-time private investigator and driver, he is requested to locate a missing scientist, thus reopening the mysteries of the garden once more.
