When Saki Kudou was a young girl, her father abandoned her family. This betrayal left a lasting impression on her, making her despise liars. As a high school student, she cancels plans with her best friend to watch a movie with her crush instead. Her friend lies to her, claiming that he had urgent business, but Saki discovers the truth and asks her mother to take her to the movies immediately.
Sadly, they get into an accident on the way and end up in the hospital. After her mother's death, Saki is left traumatized and struggling to come to terms with her newfound ability. She sees black silhouettes around those who lie to her and realizes that there are many deceivers in her life.
