High school student Riko, whose given name is Ayako, welcomed a new addition to her family in the form of her father's rescue of nine-year-old Peruvian boy Miguel. Although Miguel had a solid understanding of the Japanese language, he was initially reserved, offering only formality and few smiles. However, Riko was insistent on helping him feel at home and quickly welcomed him into her family by introducing him to new experiences outside of the house and teaching him how to play basketball. Fast forward to present day, and Miguel is now a high schooler who just graduated from an international school. He has displayed proficiency in his academics and athletic abilities, particularly in basketball where he even amazed his classmates with his dunking skills. Nonetheless, he seems hesitant to embrace this sport that he's apparently fond of. The question looms: What is holding him back?
