Despite appearing average in middle school, Rikuo Nura's true identity is anything but ordinary. He possesses a quarter of youkai blood and is the chosen successor of his grandfather, Nurarihiyon, who leads a powerful youkai clan. However, as a child, Rikuo was warned about the wicked acts carried out by youkai, leading him to avoid his destiny and neglect his responsibility of leading the Nura Clan.
Nevertheless, Rikuo's life takes a drastic turn at night when he transforms into a formidable youkai, resembling his grandfather in his prime. Recognizing the potential to use his power for good, he decides to embrace his heritage and become the leader the Nura Clan deserves. His ambition is to unite all the youkai factions in the country and establish a new unit known as the "Night Parade of a Hundred Demons."
