At 14 years old, Ai Kumashimo is a cheerful and lively student in middle school. Her companion from childhood, Kotarou (15), is a comical fellow who aspires to become a filmmaker. During her stroll back home from school, Ai picks up a curious-looking "plaything" and decides to bring it home.
