Setting out on a mission to find the two individuals closest to her heart, Sica steps outside the confines of the Magician's Tower for the first time. On her journey, she comes across Karsus, a warrior who reminds her of her past lover. While Karsus believes she has mistaken him for someone else, he offers to help her on her quest if she will assist him with his own mission. As they travel together, their feelings for each other begin to change and they find themselves not only altering the course of the Empire's fate, but also their own hearts. Sica is faced with a difficult choice between her original love and the reliable Karsus.
