When Wajima Takeru visits the pound to adopt a new furry friend, he's intrigued by a solitary dog who appears uninterested in play. Little did he know that this dog was actually the reincarnation of the world-famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, now named Sherdock (a blend of Sherlock and dog). Though only Takeru can communicate with him, Sherdock's sharp intelligence remains intact.
