Although Link's warning of the Demon King's rise to seize the Triforce for his evil purposes went unheeded, he remained resolute. Unfortunately, he was accused of a crime he didn't commit and incarcerated, where he remained for four long years. Then, the people came back, imploring him to heed his prophecy, now proven true. Meanwhile, the goddess Hylia appeared, riding a majestic red Loftwing, a divine bird, and presented the people with a means to flee into the skies. Despite this tempting offer, Link swore to vanquish the Demon King, regardless of the consequences.
