Apple Arden, being born into nobility, is obligated to take part in the Crown Princess Audition. However, a stranger named Rose unexpectedly appears at the Arden mansion, hoping to be adopted into their family and gain a chance to compete for the coveted title of the next crown princess. When her adoption plea is rejected, she proposes to purchase their candidacy for the audition. The Arden family accepts her offer and Apple becomes Rose's lady-in-waiting to assist her in the competition. However, Apple can't help but notice the odd behavior of her family members since Rose's arrival.
