"Kimi wa Girlfriend" follows Hatsune, a girl with a sharp tongue, who despite being well-intentioned, often ends up saying the opposite of what she means. This tendency may be attributed to her upbringing, surrounded by only males. Consequently, she is perceived as a conceited and indecent individual in her school, when in reality, all she desires is a girlfriend. However, her perspective changes after she gets accepted into the Maidens' Club where she encounters Kirie, a peculiar boy who displays an uncommon reaction whenever a girl comes near him. Despite everyone's assumption that he is gay, even Hatsune is not quite sure. How will their relationship develop? Will Hatsune finally find a girlfriend or could Kirie be more than just a friend?
