Senke is an introverted and melancholic man who harbors a hidden love for Masaharu, a mailman employed by the same company. Unable to express his feelings to Masaharu directly, Senke channels his affection into a Digital Monkey named after his crush. Nevertheless, his tedious dispatch job, meager wages, and an overbearing boss force him to work late nights on a regular basis. Masaharu intervenes one night, observing Senke's grueling workload and inquiring about his virtual pet. In a vulnerable moment, Senke succumbs to his inner turmoil and sexually assaults Masaharu. Following the traumatizing episode, Masaharu distances himself from Senke. With his mind clouded by exhaustion and remorse, Senke interprets the death of his Digital Monkey as a divine message and embarks on a quest to find Masaharu. When he finally locates him and assures himself of his safety, Senke collapses in exhaustion and relief.
