After 18 years of courting Lu Xincheng since childhood, Su Ling discovers that he is getting engaged to another woman while she is in Hawaii. She returns to China in disbelief and anger, only to find that it is true. In a fit of rage, Su Ling competes in a car race that results in her falling off a cliff and suffering amnesia. She has no memory of Lu Xincheng or her feelings for him. Despite her new state, Lu Xincheng tries to jog Su Ling's memory, but she recoils in disgust and avoids him.
