In this retelling, Kazuma is a shy high schooler nursing a crush on Ayase, a popular, chic classmate who has captured the hearts of many. But when Ayase discovers Kazuma's orientation, he confesses that he too is gay and interested in Kazuma. Unfortunately, Kazuma's doubts grow when it becomes clear that Ayase is only interested in the physical side of their relationship.
