The main character of the story is a young restaurant owner, who has inherited the business with a long-standing legacy. His loyal assistant, who resembles an affectionate pup in his demeanor, is a constant presence. Kota has a deep love and admiration for Makoto, who has always been a fatherly figure to him. Even as they grow older, Kota still praises Makoto's cooking, comparing it to that of a loving mother. Their relationship is close-knit and familial, but tension arises when a customer appears, causing discomfort for Kota. Although polite, Makoto's behavior diverges from his usual self, using language that Kota has never heard him use before. This unexpected change in behavior creates animosity and unease in Kota, and he can't help but feel bothered by it.
