At twenty-six years old, Ryouhei Arisu leads a comfortable life as a school guidance counselor and a devoted husband to his mountaineer wife, Yuzuha Usagi, whom he met eight years earlier. However, when he learns that she is due to give birth, he rushes back to Tokyo to be by her side. Sadly, while navigating through the heavy rainfall, a billboard falls on him, and he is unexpectedly transported to Borderland, a treacherous world where survival depends on cruel games.
Despite his desperation to reunite with his family in the real world, Arisu confronts the perils of the game with bravery. Yet, as he grasps the intricacies of the game, he realizes that returning home will be far more challenging than he had ever anticipated.
