Throughout his childhood, Maeda Taiki's unremarkable appearance had prevented him from gaining popularity. To spruce things up, he began working as a shop assistant in a fashion mall in order to enhance his sense of style. While working there, he developed a crush on Yagii Haruhisa, an employee in the main department who was loved by all for his kind demeanor and good looks. Though he was aware of the disparity between them, Maeda greatly admired Yagii. One fateful day, Maeda stumbled upon Yagii and posed an awkward question, which led to a surprising outcome: Yagii stole his first kiss.
