We traveled from a distant future in which most adults have inexplicably vanished, leaving only a handful to oversee the children. Our mission was to uncover the root cause of humanity's extinction and prevent it from occurring. But as we sat in the movie theater, one of our group fidgeting with his cellphone, doubt crept in. "Can five kids with no real plan really change the future?" he typed. And as we remained cooped up, never venturing beyond those theater walls, we began to question if we had even truly traveled back in time at all.
