Kirishima Masao, or "Maa-chan", and Kurokawa Taisuke, nicknamed "Tai-chan", have been inseparable friends from a young age, always looking out for each other. But when Maa-chan witnesses his friend being assaulted by a teacher, he is overwhelmed with guilt for not having intervened despite his strong urge to do so.
