The religious monks have embraced modern technology and weapons to fight off demonic threats. Ryuudaiji, a monk on a mission to eliminate a notorious forest demon that's driving people to suicide, crosses paths with Tamaki Madoka, a wolf boy accompanied by a wolf sidekick. After an encounter with a tree demon, Tamaki decides to venture into the outside world to learn about his past, and a relationship between the two develops.
