Inoue Konoha, the protagonist, is still under the guidance of his senior and the Literature Club's President, Amano Touko, a self-proclaimed "Literature Girl" who has an insatiable love for stories and can devour them endlessly.
One day, several scraps of paper with puzzling numbers and negative words like "Hate" and "Ghost is" were found in the Literature Club's "Love Consultation Post Box". Touko saw this as an act of provocation towards the Literature Club and once again sought Konoha's help to investigate the matter. However, upon finding the culprit, the girl turned towards them, smiled, and uttered the words, "I'm already dead."
