Sorim's novel, which shares the same title, serves as the basis for this story. Seoyoo, a depressed omega, loses his entire family in a car accident and is plagued by overwhelming emotions of shame, guilt, loneliness, and despair. He decides to end his life by jumping off a bridge one rainy night to reunite with his loved ones in the afterlife, but his plans are disrupted when a car crashes into the same spot. The unlicensed driver is Seonghyeon, a young alpha who blames Seoyoo for distracting him and becomes hysterical about the damage to his brother's car. To avoid facing the consequences, Seonghyeon makes a deal with Seoyoo, offering him three million won to lie to his older brother Seonghoon about the cause of the accident. Seonghoon doesn't believe the fabricated story, yet he and the mentally unstable omega share a deep connection that can't be ignored.
