Nowadays, platonic relationships are becoming increasingly scarce. In response, a group of seven writers have compiled a collection of love stories titled "Flower Comics." One of these stories, "Secret Housemate" by Shimaki Ako, tells the sweet tale of a middle school boy smitten with a high school girl who is meticulous about researching her potential partners. However, her emotions are thrown for a loop when she meets the young boy, who challenges her beliefs about relationships. A masterful portrayal of insecure emotions, the author depicts the character as confused and flustered, struggling to understand why she likes him despite knowing very little about him. This story was also published in "Iinazuke Ryokan."
