In Corpse Party: Blood Covered, a group of high school friends from Kisaragi Academy are the main characters. This academy is built on the same ground where Tenshin Elementary School once stood. The latter was destroyed due to a series of gruesome murders and disappearances that took place inside its walls. Following an inexplicable earthquake, the students are transported into an alternate reality version of Tenshin Elementary School. Here, they become trapped and discover that the murders once committed in the school continue to happen with alarming frequency.
