Sunbi was born to a family of shamans and inherited her grandmother's ability to communicate with spirits. Their village, located in the South Sea, owes its safety to her grandmother's shamanic prowess. However, Sunbi's gift also sets her apart from her schoolmates. As a child, she sees supernatural sights that terrify her peers and make her an outcast. Even worse, her powers attract the lascivious attention of demons.
