Shimano believes his life is almost flawless due to his hard work, good looks, and inheritance of his father's company. However, he struggles as he works his way up from the bottom and can't seem to see eye-to-eye with his manager, Kurokawa. Though competent, Kurokawa's flippant attitude bothers Shimano as he constantly teases him to push him harder or covers up his mistakes, causing frustration. As a result, Shimano decides to blacklist Kurokawa until he discovers that Kurokawa doesn't have a perfect personal life, leading him to empathize with his manager. After all, how can he hate someone he empathizes with?
