Izaya Orihara revels in his knowledge of Ikebukuro's top players, while Mikado Ryuugamine and Masaomi Kida stick by Anri Sonohara's side during her recovery. Despite putting on a smile, Kida is furious about the circumstances that led to Anri's injury and his own inability to help. He cannot stay away from his former life as the leader of the Yellow Scarves gang, which he swore to never return to after Izaya's meddling.
Kida understands that many of his former team members may have joined the Dollars, but they are losing faith in the group's misguided beliefs. With the Yellow Scarves' unwavering loyalty behind him, Kida vows to rid Ikebukuro's streets of all nefarious elements - especially those who support the recently apprehended criminal, the Slasher. However, his determination and goals are tested since Izaya is not the only obstacle in his way.
