Humanity, now solely consisting of women, exists in a distant future. Kohane Sumino has been accepted into the prestigious Shirasakuya Academy, renowned for its beautiful, secluded courtyard garden cared for by the Gardening Club. Rumor has it that two individuals who confess their love under the trees in that garden are fated to be together for eternity. Determined to see it for herself, Kohane ventures to the garden on her first day only to meet Rekka Hanatsuka, the amicable acting president of the club. Initially well-liked, Kohane soon discovers that even paradise has its thorns.
