In an attempt to combat her ill fate, she procures a charm from a temple but is soon accosted by dangerous hooligans on her way home. In the scuffle, the trinket breaks open, and the strikingly handsome Evil God of Bad Omens, Rei, is released from his confinement. Rei devours gloom, resentment, and sorrow that accumulate in human... bodily fluids?! And now, he feels obliged to repay Wakako for releasing him.
