Kwon Gang-Ho is a dedicated father who works diligently at a factory to support his family with his modest income. His colleagues hold him in high esteem due to his kind-hearted nature. Meanwhile, Gang-Ho’s wife, Yeong-Ran, takes care of their children in Seoul all by herself. Despite the financial challenges, she never neglects her children and strives to raise them well.
Sadly, a workplace mishap leaves Gang-Ho with severe facial burns, and he loses his job as a consequence. Unwilling to reveal the truth to his family, he opts to stay at a friend’s place in Seoul.
One day, while disguised in a costume of the fictional hero "Gugu-man," Gang-Ho saves his daughter from a speeding car, earning himself a new resolve to protect his family. From then on, he continues to use the Gugu-man guise to secretly monitor his family, leading to an inspiring tale of a devoted father determined to safeguard his family in spite of difficult circumstances.
