Jaina had a difficult existence. Despite being reborn as a mixed-blood character and shunned by dragons, she tried to make the best of it. Her father Diamide, who was the lord of the tower, was unfeeling and unsupportive. He made it clear that he didn't care about her birth, and her death would be insignificant to him. Thinking that Jaina wasn't his real daughter, he left her in a deserted warehouse.
Rather than craving her father's acceptance, Jaina refused to call him by the title "Father." She wanted to experience the happiness that had been denied to her. Although, Diamide became annoyingly fixated on her' she wished he would leave her be.
