The Final Re:Quest takes place in the typical setting of a J-RPG, where a hero sets out to find party members, defeat the demon king, and celebrate. However, after the credits roll and the characters freeze, one hero suddenly regains consciousness. Then, the entire hero's party follows suit, while the other NPCs remain lifeless. In reality, the Great Demon King has applied a curse on the heroes to teach them about despair. The story revolves around a loyal companion who tries to help their friends break the curse. This is a story of despair and the aftermath of the Final Quest. This is the Final Re:Quest.
