A daring photojournalist, named Akihito Takaba, risks it all to uncover the dark deeds of Ryuuichi Asami. While Asami appears to be a successful businessman with an array of deluxe nightclubs and entertainment venues, it’s all just a façade. Asami is, in reality, a significant figure in Japan’s underworld, with links to drug trafficking and government scandals.
Despite the perilous situation, Akihito cannot resist the urge to expose Asami's unlawful activities. And when Asami gets wind of it, he is determined not to let a stubborn 23-year-old tarnish his image and reputation. However, Akihito is resolute in bringing Asami to justice - thus, setting off their intense cat-and-mouse game. At times, it gets challenging to determine which one of them holds the upper hand, as predator and prey exchange roles continuously.
But then, Liu Feilong - the leader of the Chinese drug syndicate, Baishe - comes into the picture. With Akihito's work grabbing Feilong's attention, it becomes apparent that the stakes are higher than just some incriminating photos. Recklessly, Feilong puts everything on the line, using Akihito as bait to lure out the person he detests more than anything - Asami.
