When their hometown of Night relocates everyone to build a temple for the goddess of Obscurity, Mane and Nox start afresh in the neighboring town of Morning. However, trouble strikes when Nox disappears as if by magic. Devastated and distrusting of others, Mane turns to the town's goddess, Lumiere, for aid. He's then instructed to defeat Obscurity to save his kidnapped sibling and is given the body of an adult man for a treacherous journey ahead. Despite being just a boy inside, Mane must find comrades while uncovering dark truths about both mortals and immortals. Will Mane be able to distinguish ally from foe and rescue his sibling in a world where things aren't as they appear?
