After a family tragedy, fearless high school student Tohru Honda takes charge of her life by moving into a tent. However, she unwittingly sets up camp on private property belonging to the mysterious Sohma clan. When the Sohmas discover her presence, they reveal their extraordinary secret - they transform into the Chinese Zodiac animals when touched by the opposite sex. Despite their unique abilities, the Sohma family invites Tohru to stay with them, and she delves deeper into their enigmatic world.
