Suddenly, humanity is thrust into a world where the prevalence of diseases has multiplied beyond measure. Yet, in the midst of hopelessness, a glimmer of optimism remains in the form of Dr. Ikuru Fujimi.
Unlike any other, Ikuru suffers from a disease that inflicts immortality upon him and grants his blood curative powers, which he expertly uses to heal his patients. Though his methods are met with skepticism by society, Ikuru's sole goal is to attain the one thing that has eluded him: death. With an unwavering desire to leave his past and the world behind, Ikuru ventures forth to search for the disease that will ultimately release him from his immortal existence.
