Mogumo's identity as non-binary makes them an easy target at school, resulting in their feeling of isolation. Their luck changes when they meet Tetsu Iwaoka, who takes them to a maid cafe in search of similar individuals. But Mogumo is disheartened to discover it caters primarily to "girlyboys." Thanks to Tetsu's encouragement that gender doesn't define them, Mogumo joins the cafe staff. A self-discovery and acceptance journey commences as they all delve into the significance of gender.
