Yaotomi Eiju had been the epitome of Japanese success until an unusual envelope arrived in his mailbox. From that moment on, misfortune became his constant companion, disrupting even the simplest tasks.
One night, Yaotomi stumbled upon a Jizo statue and made a desperate prayer for his luck to return. Instead, he encountered a host of strange spirits and deities, chief among them the god of disaster, Yato. Yaotomi learned that his exceptional luck had thrown the universe off balance, and Yato had been dispatched to right the wrongs.
Despite Yaotomi's frantic search for a solution, Yato refused to leave his side. Yet, the god of disaster surprised him every day, and amidst the chaos, Yaotomi found a glimmer of hope in their unlikely companionship.
