Momoko spends all her time lost in girly novels, dreaming of the same kind of passionate romance that fills the pages of her cherished books. But when fate brings her face-to-face with her school's star baseball player, Oshima, Momoko finally glimpses the possibility of a real-life love story. Her shyness and inexperience, however, threaten to keep her heart's desire out of reach.
Taking cues from the stories she loves so much, Momoko decides to get closer to Oshima by joining the school's struggling Japanese cheering club. Despite having just enough members to avoid being disbanded, the team is woefully unprepared to cheer for the baseball team, much less propel Momoko into a real relationship with Oshima.
