After a 20-year expedition, astronaut Webber Jones returns to Earth with an intriguing dilemma. Having only had an AI robotic dog as companionship, he is no longer able to distinguish between canines and humans. This presents a challenging case for enthusiastic psychiatrist Benjamin Rogers, who is surprised to find himself drawn to the attractive and experienced Webber.
