Suzuki Publishing adapted the TV show story into a comicalized book rental version, releasing all seven chapters from 1958 to 1959. The 1st to 4th chapters were illustrated by Kyuji Inoue, while Kazuo Murayama worked on the 5th to 7th.
Initially drawn by Jiro Kuwata, the Shonen Club version was also comicalized, but his disciple Takaharu Kusunoki took over in the second half due to Kuwata's busy schedule.
Takeshi Mine drew the Weekly Shonen King Edition, which was serialized in issues 1 to 20 of 1972 and adapted from the TV anime version. Shogakukan Edition was an animated version of the manga.
Different versions tailored to elementary school levels were also available. Yuzuru Saito worked on the first grade version from February to October 1972, followed by Koichi Kawamoto for the second grade version and Mitsuru Hiruta for the third grade version during the same time period. Enose Koji was the illustrator for the fourth grade version from February to March 1972, while Hikaru Miyamoto took over from April to October of that year. Daiji Kazumine worked on the fifth grade version from April to October 1972, and Ikuo Miyazoe on the sixth grade version during the same period.
The three episodes were finally adapted into a comicalized version for Weekly Manga Joe Edition, drawn by Monkey Punch, while Kazuhiko Mido drew the manga version for Comic Bonbon.
