Hajime Tanaka and Harada were leaders of the Yanase yakuza group. In the conflict with the Kawa-guchi group, both leaders were believed to have been "eliminated" by the Kawa-guchi. However, the reality was that Harada saved Hajime from certain death, leaving him with severe memory loss. Clueless about his past, Hajime begins to question whether their lives as yakuza leaders were all a façade. When Harada discloses that they were secret lovers, Hajime wonders if this revelation is also true.
