When her parents inherit her grandfather's farm in the countryside, Nao Yoshikawa opts to live on her own. As she settles into her new apartment, she discovers that she'll have an unexpected housemate: Hisashi Uehara, a popular, attractive guy from her school. The housing agency has closed down abruptly, leaving them with inflated costs for their rental. Nao and Hisashi are left with no other options but to live together and split the expenses.
Volume 1 also features a short story titled "His and Her Fortune Bouquet" (Kare to Kanojo ni Hanataba wo), in which Harumi has been fooled by handsome guys in the past. But when she meets Kazuya, she begins to question whether he's different from the rest.
