Junko Harumi's high school years were focused entirely on studying to gain entrance to the esteemed University of Tokyo. Despite committing herself fully to this goal, she was unsuccessful in passing the entrance exam and had to settle for a less prestigious university. She later graduated and went on to work as a teacher at an average cram school. Now at 31, she remains single and feels discouraged with her job. Her productivity is declining and she's barely managing to keep up. However, an interaction with a troublesome student could potentially turn her situation around completely.
