When Outa had to switch schools in middle school, he confided in his closest friend, Tomoaki. However, Tomoaki's reply was far from sympathetic, brushing off the situation with a dismissive "It is what it is." Devastated and hoping for some words of comfort, Outa was taken aback and quietly left without saying goodbye. Now in college, Outa is determined to enjoy his independent student life when he unexpectedly comes across Tomoaki, someone he has actively avoided. The meeting is uncomfortable, and Outa tries to distance himself, but Tomoaki persists in conversation for an unknown reason.
